Hello

Don't you love a new pair of shoes?
I know I do, in fact I cleaned out my closet this Spring
and tossed out ALL my shoes except my Crocs (can't get rid of those)
and went on a shoe shopping spree...
so far all I bought were 4 pairs of sandals and some walking shoes...
yes, I am THAT picky lol!
I know I will be shoe shopping before cold weather as
I will look pretty silly wearing sandals in 32 degrees!

So today I have what I think is the last of the 3 shoe cards I did!

I once again uses the Tutti Designs Floral Shoe die.

I had a lacy background paper that I have had forever
and added a scalloped die cut under the shoe that has been embossed with
a pretty EB folder, can't tell in the photo though...sigh!
A few gold glitter gems were added and of course the cute sentiment!

Oh and take a peek tomorrow at Tutti Designs
as the NEW July release will be out....
my cards will be added to the store later for that...
I don't even have my dies yet...lol!

Happy Retirement

Another 'guy' card...yep, really...lol!!
Pretty easy 'man's card using once again the
'Fancy Shoe' die from Tutti Designs.

I cut a circle and embossed it to look like a golf ball.
Like I said in a previous post, I struggled using this shoe die,
but ended up loving all 3 cards I made with it.

Now a little story about this card.
It ended up NOT being a retirement card, but a
'from thankful me' card.
My grandson  that had the ATV accident is headed back to California
to 'Project Walk' on the 16th of July to help him
gain more movement in his legs to walk again.
There is a local fund raiser each year that is a golf outing
and they give all profits to someone that needs help.
This year they gave it to Caiden to help with the $6000
he needed to get back to California...
WOW
that was awesome!!
So my daughter and I stamped the thankful sentiment (from SU)
and simply placed it over the happy retirement one
and this is their thank you card to the family for donating..whew..makes me cry!!
Caiden will graduate high school in 2 years and his goal is WALK
across that stage to receive his diploma!!

Buttons~Buttons~Buttons

New challenge at
with Anna being our hostess and she has chosen the theme
'Buttons'.

For my card I remembered (surprise~surprise) that I had an already
embossed card stock with buttons on it.
I cut it down to fit on a red mat underneath.

I die cut a stitched oval from a pile of scrap paper I have on
my desk to try and use up.
Once my image was stamped and colored,
I stamped her pants on the same paper and fussy cut out.
A Stardust gelly roll pen was added to various parts of the image
and a few tiny, tiny buttons.

I just love this sweet little image from My Favorite Things....
I can remember when I first saw these little girls several years ago
I thought I would have to own them all....I think I have 4 or 5 so far, lol!

Happy Days

It's those lazy~crazy~happy days of summer!

I used a whole bunch of 'stuff' from my stash for this card,
other then the Tutti Designs Acoustic Guitar that is.

The picket fence, sun and cat were already pre-cut dies from my stash.
Actually the sun 'circle' is a shell die I added as it looked like sun rays  to me..lol!

Just a fun card to send for really no reason at all
except maybe to brighten up ones days!

#1 Dad

I have a bunch and I mean a bunch of masculine cards
I created for Tutti Designs.

This one is a bit of fun for a #1 Dad.

When I first received this die I thought
'now what am going to do with shoes?"...lol
I actually made 3 cards with this die and love each and every one
(I will show the other 2 later down the road so to speak).

I used a star embossing folder for the background
and added some red and white twine, and a star charm.

I used Tutti Designs Fancy Shoe,
cutting it twice once in the blue and a second in red for a bit of shadow underneath....
kind of looks like some 'real' shoes I have seen!

I added a punched red circle and a star on that with the sentiment.
This card would work just as well as a birthday card!
Kind of fitting as today would of been my Dad's 94th birthday had he lived.

Friends

This is my post on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog today.

Hi Diane with you today with a card I made using the newly released
Umbrella Friends digi set.
This set can also be purchased as a stamp set Umbrella Friends #851.

I have to admit that this card is a favorite of mine.
So simple in design but yet packs a punch.!
I used the pre-colored digi image for this card.

I started out by die cutting a Spellbinders die Devine Eleoquence
from white card over the image,
then placing it on a piece of Sticker Paper,
which left the intricate die cuts exposed on the 'sticky' side,
allowing me to add Orchid glitter.
I used a Glitter Brush to 'clean' all the glitter off the other areas.
Once that was done (pretty isn't it?),
I adhered 3 of the 4 sides onto another card stock.

I made a 'pull out' tag for the sentiment.
Using the digi sentiment from the set, I printed it, then
using a Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched Banner die,
I die cut the image out, then placing it on another larger banner from the same banner set.
The little flower was colored, then glittered with
A ribbon was added for the pull out.

on various places on the image to add a bit more sparkle.

This was a fun design and will be a wonderful card for a friend.
Thanks for visiting with me today.

Faith

Very simple but somewhat elegant card
I think would be good for a sympathy card
or even someone that needs a 'pick me up'.

I love the softness of this card, it seems calming somehow.

I used two of Tutti Designs dies for this one

I embossed a light gray card stock then layered it with two
other papers, once again using Tutti Design dies
Nesting Stitched Rectangles.
Three small Roses were added to the cross.
Isn't that cross die pretty?
I love it!

Love You Dad

I have a second post today because I just couldn't help myself...lol
and the fact that I have LOTS of masculine cards I have created..wow!

This card was made for Father's Day with a Father's Day die,
but I think it be could given just as well as a birthday card!

I used snippets of paper from my scrap bags...gotta love that
and the die is a Tutti Designs Father and Daughter.

I punched a little heart and popped it up....
the sentiment was stamped directly onto the designer paper,
Another pretty easy card and easy to mail, too!

Love 'Notes"

Today I have a different sort of a masculine card from my 'norm'
....a bit of a 'love one!

For this card I used one of the very newly released dies from
Tutti Designs 'Saxophone'.

Very clean and simple with a stitched black star behind
and a glittery saxophone.....
tiny read hearts coming out of the horn and
a perfect stamped image for a sweetheart of a man!!

On another 'note' (teehee)
this is where I spent  all day yesterday in the hospital
with my daughter and granddaughter waiting patiently
for this little sweet heart to arrive...
we left the house around 3:30 am and I
returned around 7pm...lets just say it was a
tense day as things didn't go as planned,
as my granddaughter Ally was high risk...
but in the end we were blessed with this little
beauty

Shabby Chic Romance Card

I have a 'shabby chic' romance/wedding card today.
It is one that definitely will pretty much have to be hand given....
non the less it is worth it I think.

I used a Tutti Designs Dove Love Heart die.

The background is a pretty already embossed dot paper I picked up
at a scrapbook store.  The Roses and flowers were from my stash and the
ribbon/bow is from the RRR ribbon club.

Summer Fun

Today is the day the entire Design Team comes together
at The Cutting Cafe blog with our creations all in one place.
Do visit there and leave a comment for YOUR chance to win
3 cut files of your own!!

I used the Summer Bingo Cards Printable Stamps for my card.
These cards can be printed in 3 different sizes.
I chose the smaller ones as I wanted to place them on a card.
There are many more to choose from and you can find them HERE!

I popped up my cute 'summer flip flop' bingo card on an
embossed white card stock...thought those shells were a perfect touch!

I added a starfish, beach chair and tiny flip flops using Impression Obsession dies.
To finish I added a pink hemp cord.
I wouldn't call this CAs, but would say it is simple...went together fast
and will make a perfect summer birthday card or a 'just because' card!

Little Flower Cart

Today is the hubby's and my anniversary.
Can you believe I don;t even have a card made for him...lol...
I am sure though I have something in my stash that will work..geez!
We spent the last 4 days at our lake house about 5 1/2 hours from here...
the weather was almost perfect, it did rain each day but not long before
the blue skies poked out.  We had lunch at one of our favorite 'haunts'
in Mackinac City and supper on our last day on Black Lake
(it rained there, too...lol)....anyhow,
we are going out to supper tonight as well....fun!
I have A LOT of catching up to do...
I will be visiting your blogs soon!

I have a card today using a Tutti Designs die
'Flower Cart'.

The colors are much deeper/brighter then the pictures show
and not only that, it is a smaller card,
4 1/2" square to be precise.

I added a few greens behind the die cut, a tiny butterfly and a tiny
gingham bow along with a 'gem' for the wheel center.

Amazing

Once again I have a card I created using one of the
fabulous Tutti Designs dies

Now I know this is an Easter die,
but I don't know about you, but I have lilies growing in my gardens all summer.

I love, love this die as it has a mosaic/stained glass look!

I die cut it, then stuck it on an adhesive panel,
sprinkled glitter all over it, pressing it in well,
then just simply colored over the glitter with my Copics.
super easy and looks fabulous!

The sentiment die is also a Tutti Designs die word set 'amazing'.....
it comes with 2 sizes!

Bokeh Technique

This is my blog post at
Sparkle N Sprinkle today.

Hi, Diane with you today.
I know you have seen the 'bokeh' technique
but I have a little 'refresher' course to encourage you
to make one of your own.

I started by taping my watercolor paper down with painters tape.
A little hint is to stick it onto your arm a few times to take
the stickiness out of it so when you remove it from your
paper it doesn't peel off some of the paper with it.

I used a water brush (Aqua Flow) and wet the paper pretty good .
I then used another brush and started adding a few Tim Holtz
Distress Inks.  The colors I used on this were
mermaid lagoon~picked raspberry~squeezed lemonade.

Once I had the colors the way I wanted I used a card stock
(I heat set the ink first)
and punched out various sized circles and using the negative and a white craft ink.

I started sponging on the circles with the white ink, overlapping as I went .
I once again heat set the panel to dry it.

I ran the Anti Static Bag over the dried panel.
Using Versamark, I stamped on the Poppies image,
then embossed with Black Fine Detail Embossing Powder.

I used the large butterfly from the stamp set Swallowtail Butterflies,
stamped it with Versamark
and once again embossed with Black Detail embossing powder.
The butterfly was then stamped with Versamark again
and then embossed with Flashy Flamingo embossing powder.
I then fussy cut the butterfly out with Tonic Mini 5" scissors.
These work good for very detailed cutting.
To finish I adhered the panel to black card stock with 1/2" Tear-ific Tape
then added a ribbon/bow.
It was then once again adhered to a pink panel.

I hope you will give this technique a try,
there are so many color options to use.
Thank  you for visiting with me today!

Celebrate At Dies R Us Challenge Blog

Can you figure out by the post title the next theme for the challenge
at the Dies R Us challenge blog?

Yes, you are correct, it is CELEBRATIONS.....
anyway you want, birthdays, anniversary's holidays,
well you get the picture...easy peasy!

I decided with the time of year it is, that a graduation card

I used a confetti embossing folder background
and used the Tutti Designs Owl Family.
I had some already made little grad caps
and placed on the owl heads and 'tossed' the other two in the air!

one in white and one in black and offset them.
By typing in either of these two words Grad or Graduation
(or use the links provided)
you can see all the graduation dies in store to choose from.

Now I have a card all ready to just add a little gift inside!

Now my card for the release.

I used the new Baby Oh Baby Digi...so darn cute
and I just love the yellow the digi comes in...
yellow is a favorite color of mine!

Isn't her little 'baby bump' the cutest?

These are a few of the things I used to create my card.
I printed my digi image and sentiment, then die cut both with a
Spellbinders scalloped rectangle.

I used a Cuttlebug Roses embossing folder
and applied Nuvo Embellihsment Mousse Lemon Sorbet with my finger.
I only  applied it to the area that I knew would show.
I then adhered this panel to a bright yellow card stock
with Tear-ific Tape 1/2".

I set it aside and using stamped my solid butterfly stamp from the newly
released Swallowtail Butterflies set with Versamark,
then added Black Fine Detail embossing powder.
Once it was heat set, I stamped again with Versamark,
but this time using the detail butterfly stamp from the set
and Tequila Sunrise embossing powder.
It was then fussy cut out with Tonic 5" mini Scissors.

Using a Quickie Glue Pen, I outlined the sentiment
then added Lemonade Glitter.

To add a bit more 'sparkle',
I used the new Nuvo Glitter Marker Pens Northern Lights
to the Rose and the leaves in her hair.

Make sure to leave a comment here and on all the DT blogs
for your chance to win the entire release.
