Here is my project using the new stamp set

I went with a technique I have been wanting to try for quite some time now called
'Black Magic'.
There are many different tutorials on YouTube and Split Coast Stampers
using various mediums to color with, but I chose Copics.

I started by die cutting a panel using Tonic Garden Trellis Garden set
from black card stock.

I added a piece of  'Sticker Paper' under the lattice part of the die cut.
then sprinkling Lemonade glitter all over that.
I used the Glitter Brush to clean all the excess glitter of the black card stock.

I used the Anti-Static Bag to first to 'clean' my paper so as not to have any smudges of
embossing powder where I didn't want it.
The image was stamped with Versamark,
then embossed with White Fine detail embossing powder.

Next comes the fun part, coloring on your image with copics....
on this technique, you actually color ON the embossing,
giving bright and pretty details.

I then used  Tear-ificTape ½”  to adhere the finished panel to my
glittered lattice card base.  A poppy red panel was added under that
and a ribbon bow!

Next on the hop is our very talented CHRIS.....

Have Beautiful Day

My last card for the February Release at Sparkle N Sprinkle.
We certainly had some beautiful sets to work this month!

This card is made with the new 'Leafy Flower Spring Wreath set.

I knew I wanted to water color this time, so I stamped the image on
water color paper with India Ink

I used water colors from the SNS store, but not quite sure if they will be restocking them?
I hope so, as they have a very pretty metallic base
which you will see in a couple of the pictures below.

Using a water brush I just started coloring,
adding more color until I was happy with the results.

I added a dab of  Sakura glue (pen) and Lemonade glitter to the flowers centers,
and Waterfall glitter to the bow.

I stamped the sentiment in Versamark, then used one of our newest embossing powders

Make sure and come back tonight at 9PM EST as we will be showing our
MARCH REVEAL of new stamps and a gorgeous digital package that you won't to miss.
Just by doing our blog hop and leaving a comment on EACH designers blog,
you have a chance to win the entire release.
See you at 9!!!

Springtime Wishes

This is one of my favorite cards using the Tutti Designs

I just love the pretty detail, but yet simple die cut on this card.

I die cut on white card stock then colored the tulips with Copics.

The background was a 'reject' that I kept in my stash and decided to
die cut it with a Tutti Designs Nested Stitched Oval.....
actually worked pretty good for this card.
I added the tiniest piece of gingham ribbon...
just a tiny snippet I had that I am not even sure why I kept it...lol!

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and then I used
a bright red embossing powder 'Red Apple' from Sparkle N sprinkle.

Girlfriend Support

Happy Sunday!!

A little bit of 'glittery' fun today using the newly released February
stamp set 'Girlfriend Support Set #1'.

I embossed a white card stock using We R Memories Keeper Dots embossing folder
and adhered to a black card stock base.
A strip of 1 1/2" Tear-ific Tape was added down the side
(this is a double sided adhesive and it is great for adding glitter and comes in a HUGE roll!)

I added Pinkerbell glitter on the adhesive strip, burnishing it with my finger.
I stamped the image and die cut it with a Tutti Designs Nesting Oval die,
colored it with Copics, applied a bit of Sakura glue (pen) and
added Ballerina Velvet glitter to the lace-y edged trim and Dogwood Rose glitter to the 'lace up,
then adding Nuvo Jewel Drops Strawberry Coulis to each 'lace up hole'.

I stamped the fun sentiment  with Versamark,
then embossed with Silver Detail embossing powder.
Pink sequins were added to finish.

White Wash Technique

Hi there!
Today I have another card using the  new stamp set Teacup Pansies
from the February release.

I did a technique called 'white wash'.
I die cut a circle using Tutti Designs Nesting Stitched circle,
then stamped the image with Versamark,
then embossed with White Detail embossing powder.

Next I used a acrylic stamp block that had white craft ink applied to it
(the refills work best/perfect), then lightly spritzed with water.

Using a water brush, paint the white ink on to the parts of your image
you want to add color.

Gather your supply of ink colors you want to work with
(I used Melon Mambo, Gumball Green, and Perfect Plum)
Apply your first color of ink either to the lid of your stamp pad like I did,
or to your craft mat.

Using your water brush start adding color.

Just keep adding color until you are satisfied with the look.

Here is a close up of the finished coloring.

Once I had the coloring done, I die cut a background using
a Cheery Lynn Designs French Lattice Small Frame die..
I applied Super Adhesive Sheets (sticky on both sides) to a card stock base,
added the die cut frame,
then sprinkled Pinkerbell glitter on the entire piece
using my 'finger tool' (as we like to call it) to burnish it in.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark
then embossed with Coffee embossing powder.
I hope you will give this a try as it is really fun and rewarding when finished.

Friendship

Pink and white today!
That's the color of this card....
I used a Tutti Designs die
don't let the name scare you,
as this frame can be used for any season
for any type of card.
It is so delicate and pretty.

I used an embossed frame for this one,
cut the die from light pink card stock.

Added three sparkle-y butterflies,
a bow once again with ribbon from the ribbon club at RRR
and a pretty hot pink flower button!

This is ne of those cards where I needed one of those
'stamp boards' as my sentiment isn't as dark or clear as
I would of liked, but I have one on order...yes!!

Hugs and Kisses

Hi there!  Another 'free' day for me and I love it!

Today I have another card using one of the Tutti Designs dies
'Heart Garden'.

I love how you can use the heart anytime
and I also love this color combination of the lime green and pink.

I added a panel of polka dot paper ,then another polka dot paper
but this one is embossed.

The heart was cut from paper from my scrap bag
as well as the sentiment, which I used a round punch for that.

I added a cute little XOXO from a stamp I have had forever in my stash of stamps!

A bow was added with ribbon from the ribbon club at RRR.

The Incredible Journey

Time for a new challenge at
The Sisterhood of Crafters ,
Vickie is our hostess this week and she has chosen the theme
'Winter Blues/Travel/Vacation

I chose a very different way to go with this theme as you will
see once you scroll down below.

First to my project.
I made a little matchbox suitcase (travel theme)
with a luggage tag that says
'The Incredible Journey'
for my grandson Caiden's 16th surprise birthday on January 27th
as he has been on an incredible journey these past 4 months.

I first saw this cute suitcase on Pinterest and decided it would make
the perfect gift box for a young man
(Of course now I have a drawer full of matches with no where to go...lol)

You basically just measure and cut and adhere down, pretty easy!

I bought a man's stainless steel link bracelet with a beautiful cross
and tucked it inside the  box, as his faith has been just as incredible as his journey
throughout the entire ordeal.

The Story:
You might not know, or you might recall he was in an ATV accident
back on October 14th that has him paralyzed at the waist
and from the knees down.

He was in a corn field traveling about 15mph when he
hit a drainage ditch he didn't know was there and was thrown in the ditch
with the ATV hitting him dead center in the back, breaking his back in 2 places....
a mere 6" and he wouldn't be here at all.
He was in ICU for over 6 weeks,
then transferred to a recovery/therapy hospital
and came home in December.

I won't go into all the details, but he had made incredible progress,
one I call
The Incredible Journey
as he pushes himself to recover and walk again.
Will he totally recover, will he totally walk again?
We don't know, it is all in God's hands.

He is an amazing young man, a sophomore in high school
and his 3rd year in science/math courses at a college 5 mornings a week.

Here are a few photos

The first day in ICU in Indianapolis

The recovery, his picture around the 1st of February.

His surprise birthday dinner.
(that is my daughter, his mama behind him...the blonde not the man with the beard...lol)

A group of his college friends at his birthday.
(check out his tee shirt)

Ginger Jar

Kind of rainy here this morning but to clear up in the afternoon...
meeting my youngest son for his birthday at lunchtime
and am looking forward to that as I don't see him often.

Today I have a 'free' day so thought I would post a CAS card
I made using a newly released die from Tutti Designs

I embossed the left panel of the card front and added a few pearls to the flower centers.
The ginger jar was cut from a paper that I thought had an oriental look to it, then to finish a die cut butterfly from the same paper pack.

Like I said pretty CAS...but I love the clean look of it!

Paper Beads from The Cutting Cafe

My project today features the
Paper Bead cut files from

I have to admit with my bum left hand/arm
I struggled a bit with it as my fingers just did not
want to cooperate.
I had surgery 2 years ago on both my left arm and hand
(they moved the nerve from the outside of my arm to the inside of my arm
and then carpal tunnel surgery on my hand.
(neither worked)
the result being I was left with half of my left hand numb
24/7 (tingles like it asleep)

Anyhow, with all that being said, don't judge me harshly
with my paper bead rolling...lol
This is a super easy thing to do (when your hand works...lol)
and there are lots of different beads to make.

I made a bracelet and box, rolled my beads, then strung them with
a few beads I had in my stash and a stretchy gold cord.

The box I made is part of the Paper bead file as well as the tag sentiment.

Check in at The Cutting Cafe blog tomorrow (2/21)
and see all the other amazing paper bead projects
all in one place from the Design Team...leave a comment there for your
chance to win 3 cut files of your own!
