More Bits and Pieces

Happy Sunday to you!!!!
I have been working hard at using up more of my scrap bits and pieces....
All you see on this card came out of my scrap bin.....
Notice the red background...can you guess what it is??
It's a paint card sample I had picked up to paint some red flower pots....
the doily is a partial one that I used the other part on another project....
the little dress form has been cut for about a year....
the "wood" tag I had stamped on, wasn't satisfied with it...and tossed it in the scrap bin....
the velvet button heart I bought last year at Hobbylobby....
and last, the flower is one that came with some blog candy I won last year....

I am entering this in the challenge at "Our Creative Corner"
to use wood and a button....
the woodgrain must show, so I also used a woodgrain embossing folder
in addition to my wood tag.....

Don't forget to came back Thursday to see my exciting (to me) news!!!!

Peach Perfection

I bought these wonderful garden stamps last year or so from My Favorite Things...
I had intended to use them in a garden scrapbook I am making for myself....
the set is "Clearly Sentimental About Gardens.....

I inked one of the sentiments to use in this weeks Wednesday challenge MFTWSC108
at MFT using one of their sketches.....

The die I used for the rose and the sentiment are both products of MFT

I cut my rose from white cs,  then inked it with Apricot Appeal and Only Orange

I finished the inside of my card with a butterfly........

Bits and Pieces

I have been noticing on lots of blogs lately that "we" are all trying to use our scraps.....
I have a HUGE amount of not only scrap papers, but bits and pieces of things
I have punched, stamped or cut out.....

I picked out several things and sorted them by colors....

and intend to use everyone of them and then start over.....
this is the year to clear it out.....

I made these two cards with the things I had pulled out
the first one is for a challenge at Papercraft Star to use "buttons"
since I had pulled all the colors together it was a cinch to make....
the lace tape trim is some I had won the end of last year.....
the birdie is a chipboard piece I had purchased at Michaels

The second card was so simple...
The card itself I had cut as a sample from my Cricut...
don't you just love the shape of it.....
I embossed the top of it and added a few pearls
all the rest came from my stash.....

I love how it ties shut at the top with some dyed seam binding.....
it's amazing how easy it is to get some gorgeous cards without much effort!!

Much Love

It's been bitter cold here....
frosty cold mornings.....
the roads are icy and snow covered....
I have pretty much stayed close to home
and not ventured out.....
so what better time to stay warm...
spending my time in my creative room....

I have been getting alot done....
I made this card for the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs challenge blog
the theme this week is "sweethearts"

I used  Sophia's Heart for the background......I glue them down with glue and seal
it dries clear, and it sticks...fast!!
the flowers were made with a die I just received and a new one from CHA
called Cutie Fringe 2

Cheery Lynn has released 4 of these...and I now wish I had them all
they are so easy to use...I whipped these 3 flowers up in minutes...
it took me longer to decide what paper to use....
the leaves underneath are Stacker Flowers #1 Leaf
the sentiment is a $1 one from Michaels

Next Thursday I have some exciting news (for me) to share.....
that's all I am saying for now..
you will have to stop back and see.....

Also wanted to share my frosty morning sunrise I took a few minutes ago
it is so pretty...wish you could see all the snow on the trees...we got about another 6"
of the fluffy white stuff last night...and more to come.....

Believe In Magic MFT Pure Innocence

This sweet little stamp is the first one of the My Favorite Things Pure Innocence
stamps I purchased.....
like I mentioned in the post below she just reminded me of one of my little granddaughters
the name of this one is "Believe In Magic"

I reallly fussed with her, cutting her dress top with glitter paper
added a tulle skirt and fussy cut her out....

the flower is one I love...it is a My Favorite Things die Royal Rose...
I had seen a rose like this on one of the MFT Design Teams blog
and she "enabled" me to buy not one, but two of the rose dies...
a bit of "girlie" lace was added to finish....

I  am entering this in the contest to be a month long guest designer at
believe in  magic
 and
 "wish me luck"!!!!

Pure Innocence Daffodil

Pure Innocence....
doesn't that have the sweetest name??
I love these little girlie girls from My Favorite Things....
I started buying them as they so much remind me of one of my little granddaughters...
The problem is...I want them ALL.....
I have started a collection of them, this one is Daffodil.....
I LOVE daffodils...and I LOVE the Pure Innocence line...

how could I go wrong??

On the "My Favorite Things" blog, they are having a contest for a guest designer spot....
so how I could not join in when I have a chance to use these little girls.....

The challenge is "HERE" and it is a sketch challenge....
I have been having a thing for yellow lately...so it works well with the daffodil...
I stitched around my card and added some big rick rack trim.....
one of the "sentiments in the pure innocence was "daffodil"
I stamped it round and round my circle....
I colored my image with copics and popped up little miss "Daffodil"

I think I just "might" have to enter another one

Sweet Thoughts

I had time today to squeeze in a challenge....
I should be doing other things....
but I decided along time ago that life is too short and to do what I love...
that's my advice and I am "sticking" to it...lol

So I decided to do the challenge at Impression Obsession "Sweet Thoughts"
I had to give this challenge alot of thought...
I just received last week 4 new stamps from IO, but none of them fit this theme...
so I came up with this "light bulb" moment to use my ever favorite background stamps...

I cut a cupcake shape from my Cricut using white cardstock...
I stamped the bottom of the cupcake with my IO Honeycomb bg stamp...
now if I had it to do again, I think I would of embossed it with powder to give a more 3D effect
but too late for that....
the top was stamped with a stamp I just love called Rose Lace.....it is so pretty

I added a bit of stickles to define the top from the bottom and a few red pearls for candies....
and of course all cupcakes need a cherry on top...

Also showing you a picture I took out my dining room today of our Lake Michigan effect snow
thats water (a creek) in the forground.....4 ducks went floating by just a bit ago....
it's about 9 degrees out...brrrr...glad I got to stay in....
made a pot roast with mashed potatos and gravy for supper....yum!!

White on White Valentine Snowflowers

I have been into white on white cards lately....
I made this Winter White Valentine card for a couple of different challenges...

The gorgeous embossing folder is a Sizzix I received from the hubby for Christmas...
it is a bit tricky, as it really needs one of the bigger machines to go thru...
the word "Love" was from my stash that I glittered with MS fine glitter....
I have gathered up an entire wood box of things ...
snips and pieces to try and use up....
I made my Snowflowers with the Cheery Lynn Designs Snowflowers I set
have you seen all the new releases from Cheery Lynn this month??
Wow...I have an order coming any day now...and can hardly wait!!

I am entering this in the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs to use "snowflakes"
and
the challenge at Papercraft Star to use "White on White"

I sewed some tulleing around the dress form.....

From The Heart

Well, happy Monday morning to you all....
I have been reading on several blogs that lots of you are having issues
with loading pictures and such into your blogs.....
and here I thought it was just "me"...
from what AT&T has told me, it's an Internet Explorer issue...
so I use Firefox to load pictures...geez aren't computers grand!!!

All my issues started when my modem died, and I had to replace it
and somehow in installing it, I must of choose some bad decisions
and to top it off (don't tell anyone) today I dumped (yep) my entire cup of coffee
on my new modem...I never knew an old lady could move so fast....lol...
so I am holding my breath it doesn't just up and quit on me.....

to use something "new".....
the stamps used are from the Flourish's set "From The Heart"....
my new are the little flowers I purchased from Michael's $1 bin...
I sprayed them with two different Tattered Angel mists and then a bit of stickles...
the little cameo heart stick pins were a part of my Christmas creative things I received.

Winter White

Do you do Pinterest??
If you go to search and enter White on White Cards
then hit enter, then when they come up, select  "boards" on the left top
all the boards with white on white cards will come up
get ready for some super duper eye candy...there are some amazing cards!!

which was funny as, I had just gotten done pinning all these white cards.....

My card I made came to me last night during one of my "sleepless" nights....
you know, one of those nights where no matter what, you just can't shut your mind down....
I had a card all planned, but went with this one instead.....
however, it was to have a white snow bunny on it, but I forget to place the bow on the
right side of the card, so didn't have any room for my bunny...sigh!!

I used ALL Cheery Lynn dies for this card
The Spring Basket......I threaded ribbon thru the handle...love how it turned out...
other dies are Fanciful Flourish~Build A Flower Embellisments 2~
Tropical Leaves~Miniature Rose and Meduim Rose
The embossing folder is from Sizzix....
I am also entering this in the challenge at
The Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge "White as Snow".....

Anything Goes

Before I share my project, I just wanted to say that to all
my blogging friends, I will be around to visit you all
sometime today!!
I have had so many computer/modem issues in the last several days
that is has almost caused me to lose my mind entirely....

Is anyone having trouble getting blogger to load pictures from an "upload"??
that function for me has seemed to stop working...what a nightmare...ugh

Now onto my card.....
I made this card for the challenge at Impression Obsession "it's your choice"
I received this stamp from my hubby for Christmas....
(I love it when sites have wish lists...makes it so easy for the "hubs" to shop)
Isn't the image great???  Sorry I had to add the do not copy on the image,
but there are those that would..and just not fair to the designers or companys
....anywho, I had intended to add a few more elements, but had already
mounted the image when I remembered....that's how my mind works...it doesn't..lol
I did stitch around it a bit, sometimes I love to do that.....
check out the challenge...give it a try...and they are having a blog hop, too
take a peak!!

Does My Heart Good

Wow, it has been some week.....first I have been down with a sinus/ear infection....
and today I have spent over 2 hours trying to get my photo to load into blogger
and ended up having to figure out a different way.....very frustrating

I made this card for two very different challenges....
I used my always Cheery Lynn "go to" die Fanciful Flourish...
a more simple card this week, but I really, really like it.....

the stamped sentiment is from Flourish's Heart Line set
I love the way their stamps always stamp so clear and precise....

I might be back with some more if I can figure out my blogger photo issue!!

Be Mine

This is one of the projects I have been working on...
even though Christmas is fun, it has been a nice change
to do something else....

I chose to work on a mini booklet of sorts
with one of my most favorite "new" dies....

I made this album with these Sizzix dies designed by Karen Burniston....
Frame and Label Bracket~Album, Accordion Flip 3-D
and a Tim Holtz Alterations lg snowflake Rosette....
just love how I can make use of the snowflake year round, just by changing the "topper"
the other items are various things I had on hand, Martha Stewart and a few others...

Hope you enjoy it...kind of hard to get a good picture of it.....
I am putting this on the Sizzix blog HERE
and
the Simon Says stamp challenge "New Something"

One of My Favorites From 2012

Today I am showing one of my favorites from 2012
while I am working on "new" things.....
I just loved this card
I made the gorgeous flower as well....
and it won me a nice gift from a workshop I attended where we had to vote on our favorite....
I hope you enjoy it, too

I am entering this in the challenge at Papercraft Star, to show a favorite of 2012
